Hello, I'm

Aliyah Melendez

I’m a Computer Science graduate with a love for data, math, and creative problem-solving. I turn patterns and numbers into meaningful stories with the help of code.

Aliyah — creative developer and data enthusiast

About Me

I graduated from Texas State University with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Applied Mathematics, though I first planned to study art at university before discovering my love for math, science, and technology. I still create art as a hobby, and that creativity continues to shape how I approach coding and data. I’m especially drawn to data science, graphs, networks, and mathematical concepts, and even conducted research on Khovanov homology during my time at TXST. Outside of coding, I love being outdoors, whether I’m hiking, exploring new places, or simply enjoying nature and I’m an avid reader always looking for new perspectives. I’m passionate about blending logic, creativity, and curiosity into everything I build, and I’m constantly looking for opportunities to grow as both a programmer and a person.

  • Favorite topics: network science, graph algorithms, visualization
  • Stacks: Python, C++, HTML/CSS/JS
  • Bonus: UI work, with help from my skills in art
